Monty™ Lomandra is a compact, spreading, tough native shade plant.
    Monty™ Lomandra is a low growing compact form of Lomandra montana (AKA Lomandra longifolia var. montana).

    Tough native shade plants are hard to come by, Monty™ Lomandra is one of the few available and it can be used instead of Liriope in heavily shaded areas.

    Monty™ Lomandra is a perfect choice for landscapes if you something smaller than L. longifolia with a wider spread than L. confertifolia.

    It has beautiful fine leaves and cream flowers from April - October.

    Specimen/mass plantings for residential or commercial use

    How it works

    VIC, SA, WA & NSW (hasn’t yet been tested north of Sydney).

    Light to heavy shade. Tolerates frost and drought. Monty™ Lomandra suits most soil types

    Care Instructions

    Water as required for 8-13 weeks until established. Plant in a well mulched garden (chunky mulch is recommended).

    Ensure crown or base of plant is not below soil or mulch level. If required use slow release fertiliser in spring.

    Every 5-7 years cut back 15cm above the ground if required (will look better with pruning every 5 years, this depends on your requirements)
